- Solo category participants will be evaluated based on Costume and Performance quality as listed below.
70% mark for Costume criteria:
– How well the costume is put together and all the parts securely attached;
– Right proportions and colors according to reference picture;
– Attention to details and accessories – accuracy;
– Different techniques and materials used;
– Overall costume finish – quality of hems, seams and lining;
– Make-Up and Wig quality.
30% mark for Performance criteria:
– Shows the essence of referenced character – expressions and movement;
– WOW factor – entertaining, funny for a comedy performance, unique scenario;
– Use of stage props and/or costume details to performance;
– Easy to undarstand with or without knowledge of the character.
Note: It is important to pick the category that represents participants skills the best. During evaluation highest mark for Costume will be based on selected category and costume type presented.
For example – if a participant in Make-Up and Wigs category has exceptionally well made body paint but clothing proportions according to reference image are wrong – the final score will be lower.
- Original Character category is dedicated for fan arts and unique costumes designed by contestants. Participants will be evaluated based on Costume and Performance quality as listed in Solo category above. In this category all costume types and their variations are accepted (armors, dresses, make-up etc.).
- Group category participants will be evaluated based on Costume and Performance quality as listed below.
60% mark for Costume criteria:
– How well the costumes are put together and all the parts securely attached;
– Correct proportions and colors according to reference picture;
– Attention to details and accessories – accuracy;
– Does the costumes blend in well with performance;
– Different techniques and materials used;
– Overall costume finish – quality of visible hems, seams and lining;
– Make-Up and Wig according to reference picture.
40% mark for Performance criteria:
– Shows the essence of referenced characters – expressions and movements;
– WOW factor – entertaining, funny for a comedy performance, unique scenario;
– Use of stage props and/or costume details to add visual interest;
– Easy to understand with or without knowledge of the characters;
– Shared energy between characters.
